Basic level milinery workshop in Barcelona

If you are a hat lover and want to know more about your favorite garment and/or want to learn how to make them with your own hands, at Sombrereria Mil we are pleased to present the Basic Hat Workshop in Barcelona.

In this workshop you will learn the basics of millinery: from shaping the crown to sewing the inner lining, you will go through each essential stage to create your own hat.

No prior knowledge is required to participate in this course, although it is advisable to have basic sewing skills.

This introductory course is divided into three micro-workshops, each focusing on a key aspect of hat creation. And in the end, you take home your creation!

Course content:

• First micro-workshop: Molding the Cup - You will begin by selecting the shape, cinching and ironing for a perfect finish.

• Second micro-workshop: Working the Brim - Learn how to cut and iron the brim of the hat, as well as how to install an inner padding for the ideal fit.

• Third micro-workshop: Completion and Details - Complete your hat with the outer band and lining, and take home your masterpiece in style.

You have two options to take this course:

Option A: Separate course in 3 sessions of two hours each.

Schedule: Every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for 3 consecutive weeks.

Duration: 3 sessions, 2 hours each.

Option B: Course carried out in a single 6 hour session.

Schedule: Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Duration: 1 session of 6 hours, divided into 3 micro-workshops.
